ABOUT THIS ALBUM

About the Album

Alex Austin, a solo artist located in St. Augustine, Florida, recruited several of his musician friends to join him on this compilation of American Roots music. Nowhere Railroad features a mix of old school country ballads like "Good Year for the Roses" and "Is it Rainin' at Your House" along with songs with more upbeat tempos like a bluegrass treatment of "Wild Horses" and a subtly Hawaiian version of "Gentle on My Mind."

Nowhere Railroad
Terrific album of country/folk standards by one of the best players in St. Augustine. So glad such a talented artist can get noticed via CD Baby. One of these days I'll get my stuff together and be looking to be here, too. Meanwhile, I highly recommend you buy this CD! If you're in Saint Augie catch Alex and Doctor Jim the mando/guitar man at Hurricane Patty's at Oyster Creek Marina every Sunday nite 6-9 !
