ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
'Aama' is an international music-project based in Lisbon, Portugal.
The group was formed by Mili Vizcaíno Jaén in the end of 2016.
Their music can be perceived as an explosive mix between Indian traditional music with elements of jazz, flamenco and Latin music.
'Aama' neither claims to be an Indian band nor a typical jazz formation as their vision of music is based on the freedom of letting the musical backgrounds of all their members have an influence on the process of creation.

The result is an authentic, organic and 'fresh' tasting sound. Best summarised by the general terms of 'World Music' and 'Ethno-Jazz' in which Indian music serves as a major source of inspiration.
Aama offers the audience a deep and powerful musical journey through vast Indian landscapes riddled with striking and mystic melodies, accompanied with groove and improvisation. All members have now formed a close friendship and believe that the connection and interplay they experience throughout their shows is the essential part of their project.

''Aama'' means ''yes'' in ''Tamil'' Indian language and represents the group's positive vision of life and music.
