ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Aartwork hail from The east coast of the UK and play celtic folk fusion with original "liquid fiery" fiddle tunes with ambient vocals and rhythmic jazzy acoustic guitar. On the EP "Wind Over Tide" Aartwork use ipad app generated beatz during this Celtronica period. Aartwork morphed out of the East Anglian reggae influenced eceilidh band Workhouse.

The tunes and lyrics are predominantly influenced by the sea as the fiddle player, Art spent much of his life living and/or working at sea. Claire's guitar style is influenced by initially being a keyboard player, then bass guitar before moving on to acoustic guitar.

Currently Aartwork are playing ceilidhs, festivals and pubs as a five piece band with Merlyn Bruce on cajon/drums, John Dyvig on electric bass, Phoebe Butler (a concert recorder player) on recorders, Claire Cordeaux on acoustic guitar and vocals and Art Butler on fiddle with live FX.
