ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
CD REVIEW FROM THE DRUM-MAGAZINE Oct 2007:

"Indigo is Abbi at his most confident. He has settled comfortably into the confluence of Afro-Jazz and Afro-fusion. This album is a consolidation of years of performing. Indigo is the next best thing to hearing Abbi live, especially if you have a state-of-the-art sound system. The vocals, engineering and sound mastering are excellent, and Abbi goes one better by incorporating Maa (edit: Maasai) voices and spoken-word snippets of Nairobi life to give the album a well rounded bouquet of sound. He sounds just as wonderful singing in Kiswahili as he does in French and his ethnic tongue, Luhya.
Artists on the album includes Barbara Guantai and Mercy Myra. This 10-track album is a keeper and should definitly be purchased as a Kenyan classic to add to your collection".
