Album Notes
The Human Element is a soulful adult contemporary debut album by Abigail Petersen. It features 13 original tracks that were produced by the British multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer, Ben Haynes.

The title aptly describes the central theme of The Human Element as each track is an expression of the struggles and triumphs we face on a daily basis. It touches on different subjects and explores the harshness and beauty of the human experience – from heartache to happiness, to appreciating our loved ones, as well as to acknowledging the issues that plague society. Bearing traces of Abigail’s jazz background, The Human Element is also infused with a variety of popular genres such as soul, rock, funk, Latin and reggae. It is therefore evident that much of her songwriting has been influenced by great artists such as Stevie Wonder, Queen, Sade, Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, and Antonio Carlos Jobim.

A variety of easy listening ballads and groovy up-tempo tunes makes The Human Element appealing to a wide audience.
