ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Singer, songwriter, lyricist, topline writer and multi-instrumentalist Abi Hercules is a London girl born and bred.

After two self-produced albums recorded with her supporting band The Easy Tigers and after a creative pause and experiences to fuel her creativity,  Abi is back and her music is taking a new direction.  For a new sound, Abi headed stateside to collaborate with producers Arthur Pingrey (Sia, Sting and Anohni) and Hakan Mavruk (Queen Latifah, J Holiday, King Los) and Chris Adams (Young Saint).  Abi is enjoying bringing her influences of early soul, reggae and 80’s electronica together to create a more gritty, punchy and sometimes filmic backdrop to her storytelling.

Abi's songs have been synched in several films.  Her songwriting style is eclectic, having written pop tunes, jazz, the blues, folk, country, singer/songwriter, reggae, lots of songs for children...

As a lyricist, her strength is an ability to inhabit the mind of the protagonist, to speak the unspoken, to draw in the listener... Often darkly humorous....

She is currently writing for Disney.
