Album Notes
Anything Box is four guys using guitars, noise and computers to create binary tripped-out, emotionally tinged elektrodelic (their word) pop music. The name comes from an obscure Sci-Fi short story from the 60's about a young girl who sees an idealized fantasy world when she cups her two hands.

Anything Box began in the bedroom of lead singer/songwriter Claude S. as an escape from the banality of everyday life in Paterson NJ, an urban town whose claim to fame is a High School principal who carried a bat in the halls, and where the first Colt 45 was built. Amidst the drug deals outside his kitchen window and bar fights across the street, Claude dove within the introverted comfort of songwriting influenced by John Lennon, Disco, Pink Floyd, The Kinks, Joy Division, New Order, and Kraftwerk.

Anything Box returns with a more polished sound
Having heard 'Peace' and after reading the nice reviews about 'Worth', I decided to buy it without having heard more than 2 songs of the album.
It's more of the same, really, but they do it so well!
Synthpop with an edge, I would call it, and the only flaw about this album in my opinion, is that they forgot to write enough memorable melodies. I just bought the album a couple of days ago, and maybe it's a grower - I remember hating Joy Division's 'Closer' at first, and now it's one of my favorite albums of all time.
Anyhow - I still rate this album with 4 stars, because of the producing, the overall sound, the songs 'World without love' and 'The Ending', and the general atmosphere it creates.
If you like Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (also their later albums), The Human League, late New Order, maybe you like this one, too.

A great 80s cd "Worth" listening to
I'm getting married in Setpember and found that Abox's song Wedding Day is perfect to put on the cd we are making as favors. What I was really impressed with was how good the rest of the cd was! There seems to be a lack of good music that is being produced now-a-days and Worth was a refreshing break from the musical monotony that pains the air waves today. Maybe I'm just a huge fan of 80's Pop, but this cd seems like one that shouldn't be overlooked with the passing of the decade it was recorded in.

Synthpop music never sounded so sweeeet!
This album is another classic ABOX. If you enjoyed Peace and Hope, then you sure would love this album. Pure electronic genius from start to finish. Notable tracks are: World Without Love, The Ravine, Soldier and Child, All You Need Is Love (Beatles Cover) and my favorite...."An Ending". Go buy this album now and prepare to be blown away, this is how real music is supposed to sound like!

Anything Box at its finest
Worth,is generally considered the lost album, as it was a completed work which never had a wide release when the band broke away from Epic. Originally released to fans, it is now available to a wider audience and deservingly so. The album is softer and much deeper than Anything Box's other records, and perhaps it is this distinction which makes it stand out. Claude's trademark synths seem toned down, but their brilliant melodies still stand strong. His soft, sad and emotional vocals drive the album in its finest moments. A very touching album through and through, and only the more upbeat and danceable Beat of Life seems out of place on this wonderful journey. With it's re-release, fans are treated to two bonus tracks, including the incredible Find A Way, which surprisingly never made the original album despite the true excellence of this song--which makes getting this version a must, even for those who have the original.

luv it, luv it, luv it!!!...

This CD was incredible, Anything Box are definitely true synthpop masters
Anything Box's Worth CD is incredible. It's sorta a cross between their Peace album and their Hope album, which are just as incredible. This CD is a must have for any Anything Box fan. It's hard to believe that this album was never released; what were those guys thinking. Worth is a gem and gets five stars in my book.

GREAT ALBUM!! I used to have this album on a bootleg cassette. It's great to now have it on CD. This is a "MUST HAVE" for any ABox fan.

The favorite
This is surely the best of Abox. Dania's back up vocals complete the songs. Good thing she joined the band back in 1988. I hope they ask her back. It just ain't the same without her!

Another ABOX classic
This is a classic Anything Box. Well written lyrics and the music is composed reminiscent to their 1st album "Peace". My favorite track would have to be "An Ending" and their cover of the Beatle's song "All you Need is Love".
