The Last Testament: A Unique Presentation On the Magnificent Qur’ān

by Abu Eesa Niamatullah

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The “Last Testament” is a unique chronological presentation on probably the most studied book in history: the Magnificent Qur’ān. It attempts to present the key message, context and history of the revelation of the Qur’ān sent upon the Prophet Muhammad (upon whom be peace) in order to convey the significance of this momentous event.

God Almighty says in the Qur’ān (Koran):

Surely, in their stories there is a lesson for people of understanding. This (Qur’ān) is no invented tale but rather a confirmation of what has been before it, and a detailed explanation of all things, a guidance and a mercy to people who believe.
(Joseph, 111)

It is this guidance which the “Last Testament” - the Qur’ān - tries to revive as found before in the “Old Testament” - the Torah - and then the “New Testament” - the Gospel. Although primarily aimed at non-Muslims to introduce them to the final divine scripture from God Almighty, Muslims will particularly appreciate the various recitations on offer in this production by three exceptionally talented Qurrā’ including the qirā’ah of Hafs ‘an ‘Āsim and of al-Dūrī ‘an Abī ‘Amr. The level of detail is significant yet the presentation retains enough brevity to gain the satisfaction of every type of listener.

“A very informative and enjoyable presentation! Also, as a non-Muslim it answered most of the main questions I had concerning the Koran. ” - Dorothy McLoughlin, Gatley, UK.

“Masha’Allah, I have never ever seen such a beautiful presentation with such a unique method. The subject matter just moved on, in brief, but with full understanding of the sequence. ” - Afzal Chaudhri, Cheadle, UK
