ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Accord was founded in 2009 by Akiko Fuchisawa and Liz Geisewite and built on a shared love of music written for treble (equal) voices. Initially, drawing heavily from the repertoire and practice of Hungarian treble choirs, Accord's repertoire has expanded over time to include a wide range of styles and composers, medieval to contemporary. Accord strives to be non-hierarchical, working collaboratively to interpret pieces in the spirit of consensus. To this end, members are valued equally as leaders and contributors in the music making process. Accord's passion for the music they perform and love for each other is undeniably palpable.
