Album Notes
Acoustic Shadow's new CD "Buzz Pie" is a collection of tunes about a fictional character "Stoney Bones Jones" and his adventures…Like many bands when we went into the studio (gadget box studio santa cruz CA) we wanted to capture the energy of a live band and thats what we did….of course there were a few things that we fixed up , but for the most part this collection of songs is recorded live and full of stoney root rock energy….check it out …The Band (me /Erik Rozite - vocals and guitar, Paul Stevens - Drums, Zac Clow - Lead Guitar , Bill "Shadow Man" Shaw - Bass, Wendy Wilkins - Keyboard, Jim Anderson - percussion, and Brian Valentine - Harp) we are based in the redwoods of the santa cruz mountains (Boulder Creek CA) …, our website is being rebuilt soon but its at droolpigs.com and u can find us on Facebook /acousticshadows hope u enjoy the tunes!

Acoustic Shadows was Intoxicating!
Wow. I've been racking my brain all weekend to try and compare you guys with other bands, and I can't really pin it down. I was thinking of the band "Traffic", and "The Band", and some sounds of "Santana", "Allman Bros.", "Doobie Bros."..."Eric Clapton", but you guys really have your own sound. My favorite song is "Third Ear Transit Station"; it mixes up-shifts a lot; it reminds me of a complex glass of wine. I like the song "Bigger Room"; if I didn't know better, that could be turned into a political song!!! ALL of the songs need to be listened to in the mountains. If I'm not in the mountains, down by the river, I know I will be transported to the river while listening to the music. I have questions: what will you guys sound like in years to come? What would some horns sound like? Wow. How long have you been together? Years? Thanks for the opportunity to listen. Juliet

thanks Juliet
Thanks for the kind words!…..… we are in the middle of recording a new CD in Santa Cruz "Nickel Nipple Tickle" which is kind of like the "Buzz Pie" project that we did 6 months ago but now introducing a lap steel guitar and mandolin … it is the continuing adventures of that fictional character "Stoney Bones Jones" it may be a little more americana and or faster tempo jam banish …. also we just released a few videos on Utube from our CD release party (http://youtu.be/a7M9mUOEwTU ) the one listed is "Walking Dragon" let me know what u think …. thanks again for listening!!!
