ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Adam Cole took the RPM Challenge a second time, following up from his Songwriting Party album The Best of Both Worlds. This time he acted completely alone, and wrote and recorded 12 songs in 3 weeks. And what songs they are!

From the Joe Jackson sounds of "The Same As I Do" and "Out Of My Mind" to the gentle Cure-like ballad "Jaslyn," Cole covers a wide range of genres and styles. "Broken Promise Box" and "The Last Little Bit of Green in the City" could be an outtake from a lost Springsteen album. "The Best That They Can" is an Elton John type country song about the mysteries of love.

There are no overdubs here, no multiple takes. Just a zoom player and a performer, sometimes piano, sometimes guitar. There's nothing between the listener and the song at all.
