Album Notes
Adam Weinberg’s sound lies somewhere between the market places of the Middle East, and the hill tops of America’s Midwest. Once described as, “Leo Kottke writing with John Zorn and producing with Brian Eno,” Adam creates an emotionally uplifting and contemplative world with nothing more than his guitar. “On the Seventh Year” is a heartfelt and powerful expression of Jewish-roots themes approached with true modern invention, as subtle electronic swells-and-swoops emerge from within to tickle your subconscious. During the past year, Adam has brought his unique approach to finger-style guitar playing on stage with Matisyahu and with Brazilian percussion hero Cyro Baptista. Ultimately, “On the Seventh Year” is the story of a traveler making his way from the heartland of America to the back alley streets of Jerusalem’s Old City...come along for the journey.

Easily the best music to listen to any day.
My first kiss....the birth of my child....that time I was knighted by the queen.....the feelings associated with these events have one thing in common: they can't hold a candle to the feeling I got when I first heard the dulcet tones of On the Seventh Year. The subtle textures laid down by Weinberg in such tracks as Gvira, or The Groom The Bride, juxtapose pain and sorrow with intense joy. The album itself speaks to generations of young and old alike, and has a timeless quality to it that pulls at the heartstrings, engenders the ecstatic in the hearts of the good, and instills fear in the souls of the wicked. Translation: this album is wonderful and everyone should have a copy of it, or in some cases, two or three.

Weinberg's soulful melodies are a pleasure to listen to over and over
On the Seventh Year is my favorite instrumental album. Even though I've had the CD on repeat since I purchased it, Weinberg's soulful yet innovative melodies remain fresh each time I hear them. Any time I have a stressful interaction with a co-worker, I know that if I listen to a couple tracks from On the Seventh Year, I'll be back at peace. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Now I know what I will add to my 'cd must listen' to after my days teaching 150 high school biology students here in Florida!!!

music that goes right to the emotional center
Adam's CD pulls at emotion in a journey-like fashion. 'On the Seventh Year' takes the listener on a heartfelt and incredibly skilled journey through deep middle eastern melodies and taps into the new Jewish experience in America.

Great music for relaxation, studying or any occasion!
I heard a great deal about this guy after he was asked to play with Cyro and Matisyahu, and so I had to get this album. WOW! This guy can play! I am generally so put off and unimpressed by solo guitar acts these days, but this album has turned me from cynic to optimist in 10 songs. I highly recommend this album for anyone with ears. If you don't have ears, get the album anyway, place your speakers facing the floor, turn the volume all the way up, and feel the music through the vibration. Great listening, good times.

Love it!!!! On the Seventh Year is the best album I've heard this past 2 years!
When I put On the Seventh Year into my Cd player, I wasn't sure what to expect, I sat down from a long day at work, I started eating my dinner and the music was playing, it was soothing to my soul, I felt complete, I was instantly I no longer felt the stress or memory of my hard day at work. Adam Weinberg's CD On the Seventh Year, takes me to a place where I want to go everyday. I don't know what I would do without my On the Seventh Year CD.

my music is heavily influenced by the stuff I've listened to
The album exceeded my expectations. I Adam tours as soon as possible.

The album reminds me of's definition of 'Mellow':

1. soft, sweet, and full-flavored from ripeness, as fruit.
2. well-matured, as wines.
3. soft and rich, as sound, tones, color, or light.
4. made gentle and compassionate by age or maturity; softened.
5. friable or loamy, as soil.
6. mildly and pleasantly intoxicated or high.
7. pleasantly agreeable; free from tension, discord, etc.: a mellow neighborhood.
8. affably relaxed; easygoing; genial: a mellow teacher who is very popular with her students.
9. anything not resembling the 405 in Los Angeles, CA
