ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
On The Other Side of Everything (OTOSOE) is Adrian Carr’s 6th Studio Album. The album was inspired by Carr’s life experiences living in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State. Carr has said about this album, “It was important for me to create a project that brings awareness to the ties that hold us together and the basic human needs for love and hope." Carr’s CD was partially funded by a GoFundMe Campaign.

The album features the piano as a primary focus but the instrumentation is expanded to include strings, clarinet, cello and two original songs written for the album. Carr describes the album as a ‘mixtape’ where the different ensembles and styles flow into each other creating contrast yet held together by the emotional focus of the music and the sound of Carr’s piano. The album was recorded at Big Blue North Studio in Utica New York with Jeff Aderman, recording engineer.

The album features Justin Smithson singing, “I Will Hold On To You” and Famous Letter Writer writing the lyrics and singing “The Other Side of Everything.” Al the other tracks are performed by Carr.

There have been three videos released to complement the album. Tese include "The Immigrant Song", "I Will Hold On To You", and "The Other Side of Everything". All videos are found at www.YouTube.com/AdrianCarrPiano
