Album Notes
This is hardcore Buckaroo music. You won’t find “camp cookie” and “pretty little horses” in Buckaroogirl, Adrian’s music.

Instead, you’ll find the reality of ranch life, bad horses, coyote cattle, tough men and tougher women with liberal amounts of roping (for the poly deficient). Adrian’s music reflects this unromantic but harsh reality in every Nevada desert soaked note and phrase.

The CD was released at the 2008 Elko Poetry Gathering and has been tearing up the countryside since then. Winter Blues, the third track on the CD reminds you just how cold it gets horseback, and has been in the Indie Internet Radio top 40 since the week it came out (see SongPlanet.com). The final track named for the mountain range that runs through North East Nevada—and the Big Springs ranch upon which Adrian lived as a child, is featured on the recently released documentary film, Los Primeros.

These songs come from Adrian’s experiences working cattle with her family on ranches in Nevada, California, Canada, Utah and throughout the west, as well as from the stories she’s been told by other cowboys she knows.

You can read more about Adrian and her music in this month’s (February 2009) Western Horseman Magazine. Here is some of what is being said about the music.

Oh my God! The very first thing is the woman's voice, and she's incredible!

The singer's voice knocks you out right off the bat with its natural down-home bluesy quality and distinctive vibrato. I would love to see this band live.

I'm a fan! Really powerful vocal. High energy. Wow! Top marks all around.

…Adrian…writes and sings about her ranch experiences and the cowboy way of life. She had a voice that seemed many years older than her age; it was impressively strong and clear.

Songplanet.com DJ
…she appears to have extreme talent and a truly unique blend of rock and country with an almost “new genre all it’s own” sound and image, and she sings pretty darn well, too!

True to life songs about the buckaroo life. True new talent, much needed!

This young lady has a voice from heaven.
She will go far

Wonderfully moving, outstanding voice. Obviously quite a lot of heart. She paints quite a picture with words and voice.

Winter Blues
You can almost feel the cold and loneliness of the cowboy in Adrian's song.

Don't Forget Sis
This song really touched my heart! Beautiful voice and excellent breath control as is the case on all the other selections. It's hard to believe it was written by such a young girl. Adrian certainly has an exciting future coming up fast. This song shows that she and her sister have a very special relationship. They must come from an extraordinary family.

I'll be looking for Adrian's next CD.

I must like your music. I just bought the CD. Looking forward to lisening to it while trucking down the road.

If there were a hundred starts possible, I would give her each and everyone. This CD goes above and beyond its purpose to entertain. This music touches me to the core. Her voice, the words, and above all her genuine spirit comes through and then sets her apart from being just entertaining. I can not say enough for this young artist.

This gal knows her stuff. From the cold and the colts to the "romance" that isn't. She doesn't just touch the buckaroo, she reaches out to cowboys everywhere. Good on ya' kid.

The depth of Adrian's voice blows me away, and throughout the album you can really feel the emotion. Absolutely genuine, no faking it, Adrian is the real deal. How someone aged 15 can be this good is beyond me, but I sure will buy the next album when it comes along--and I really hope it does!
