Album Notes
Four guys trying to make their mark in the music realm founded Adversary in 1989. After many band member changes and many hours of practice and songwriting we have finally made a studio demo CD in mid 2002. Recorded "live" in the studio for the most fresh and honest feel. We wanted to make sure that our fans would hear us in the rawest form as they would if they've seen us performing at a gig.

The songs are "to the point" as they are just a sample of the energy and feeling that the band can create. We feel that the music scene has been missing some awesome sounding Metal for years and we are just trying to do what we can to keep it alive. If you like Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax then you'll dig our stuff as it shreds through along the same lines as they used to do. Fans of pure raw metal will really love this CD.

The four musicians on this demo are:
Terry Babicz - Lead and Rhythm guitar,Drums
Jeff Fuchsgruber - Rhythm guitar, Bass on track 4
Jeff Arnold - Bass
Kevin Eischen - Vocals

The rest of the band and myself want to thank all of our fans who bought our CDs and those who have posted reviews (good and bad) for our CDs. Thanks alot you're awesome!

If you seek metal with backbone and non-MTV conformity, then seek out Chicago's answer to metal. True metal has neverdied, but all things sincere go back to the roots. This CD of four songs does just that! Take it, learn from it, know that your metal hopes are only beginning with this band!

Chicago can produce metal with claws & teeth, and Adversary proves it!

Adversary cd rocks !
It reminds me a lot of Metallica especially with the Lars Ulrich style aggressive drumming.
Very cool !

Real metal is hard to find nowadays.
If you have to choose between Metallica's new St. Anger and this album, get Adversary. There's more Anger and studio production on this album AND REAL GUITAR PLAYING on it. The only thing I'm disappointed in is the length of this album. The end of both CD's leave you wanting more. More tracks please! It sounds like Adversary listened to the best of metal bands such as Testament, Slayer and many others and churned them together to create Adversary. Kick ass.

It kicked my ass.
This is a fresh taste of what great Metal should be. The songs were short (reminiscent of punk/who needs 8 min songs anyways?)with artistic arrangments and overdubs and there was always something different going on. I can't stop listening to this and I always hear something new everytime I play it. I can't wait to hear more from them!
