AfterBurn is the "all firefighter" Hard rock band from Long Island, New York.
You're probably wondering how is this important.
The answer to this lies in our music.
Just like fire, our music is born from a spark that comes from a love for music, especially rock and roll. AfterBurn music is influenced heavily by all rocknroll bands and musicians of today and the past, spanning all the way back to the Delta blues.
When you listen to our songs you will understand a little better what we are about.
In the meantime, here's a quick history of our band...
After making a statement in the local venues with the AFTERBURN live show and sound in 2011/12, we were invited down to Austin Texas, for three consecutive years (2012-2014) to play on the Texas Rockfest stages during the SXSW music festival.
In June of 2014, after years of recording, our first full length LP, " Never Forget" was released. In August of 2014, AFTERBURN played direct support at Blackthorn 51 in N.Y.C. for Faster Pussycat. Directly after our set, we were invited by Faster to tour with them in the Fall of 2014, starting on Halloween at The Whiskey A Go Go, and then all across America and back, ending in Chicago just before Thanksgiving.
Having established a place in the local music scene as well as nationally, AFTERBURN played shows all across the country from Long Island N.Y. to the Whiskey A Go-Go in Los Angeles, from Green Bay Wisconsin down to San Antonio Texas alongside legendary bands and musicians such as Quiet Riot, The Sweet, Steven Adler of GNR, Joe and Al Bouchard of Blue Oyster Cult, Doug Pinnick of Kings X, Faster Pussycat, Lillian Axe, L.A. Guns, The Bullet Boys, Kenny Arnett, Gina Stiles, and the late great A.J. Perro, to name a few.
We humbly received acclaim from fans and fellow rockers for our more than often energetic, live performance as well as for song composition.
"Open Road Confession" was our pre-release single for Knocking With Your Elbows. Gaining fans in an ever-changing music scene, with an energetic live show and anthemic songs, we continue to build momentum and a loyal fanbase, with no end in sight.
All that we achieve in music is always done in the memory of our brother firefighters that sacrificed their lives on 9/11/01, so that many would survive. 343. NEVER FORGET.
On behalf of Joe, Rich, Mat, and Chick, play it loud and Enjoy! \m/\m/
