ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
After Class is an instrumental trio featuring hammered dulcimer, violin/mandolin, and guitar. This is their second album of music from the Civil War era. Their first album with this theme (Hues of Blues and Greys) has been extremely popular among Civil War buffs and appreciators of good music. After Class does not attempt to reproduce a historic sound. Rather, with their unique beautiful acoustic string style, they capture the emotion of these beautiful melodies.

Very moving, especially after having been to the Anderson Prison Memorial.
This is one of the most "listenable" recordings I've ever heard. Having toured countless Civil War sites, this has become the perfect accompaniment to them all. It was most moving after having visited Andersonville.

excellently. One is almost transported back in time
to the era of the Civil War when listening to it.

we love it, captures the emotions of the Civil War soldier
We love this one! It captures the vast range of emotions of the Civil War soldier and family on both sides. Some of the songs are unforgettable. These musicians are wonderfully talented and produce high quality songs. It is hard to believe there are only 3 musicians.

Sentimental and relaxing
This CD is top notch and every tune is terrific. The hammer dulcimer and violin together really bring out the best in music of this genre.

Music that moves your soul!
This music transports you to another place and time. Hauntingly beautiful...full of all the sadness, longing and strugle that was the core of the American Civil War. It makes you want to find a hansome gallant Confederate Officer and waltz with him!
