Album Notes
THIS CD IS OUT OF PRINT. EIGHT COPIES will be available for sale to our friends here @ CDbaby. The last few will be auctioned off in a fundraiser to help AE release her second album. HEARTACHE IS BORING will be re-released with new artwork in the future, this is your last chance to snag one of the 1000 original pressings!

THANK YOU for your support.

HEARTACHE IS BORING is singer/songwriter AINJEL EMME's very first full-length album (Winter 2003), independently produced and released to critical acclaim. A CDBaby Top Seller (Winter 2003). "Top 10 CDs of 2003" at KUT 90.5 FM (Staff Pick - Teresa Ferguson). Honorable Mention - "Top 10 CDs of 2003", Austin Chronicle. "Indie Song of The Year" - for "Easier" @

HEARTACHE IS BORING is treasured and traded by indie internetters worldwide. Only 1000 ever pressed. It's a shiny disc that you put in a weird machine that makes the air suddenly burst with song. Nifty!

AE is currently hard at work in Los Angeles on her new album, SONGS TO PASS THE QUIET HOURS.

absolutely wondermous
everything i expected and more! i'd been listening to the demo cd one of my best friends has for years, so it was time i bought the full cd, and i gotta say it's awesome! my fave song is Set up for a Fall, it's just great!

Having heard bits and pieces of Ainjels music along the way the finished product is nothing short of breathtaking. I want a copy for every stereo in my house and every car i travel in. I can't stop listening to the wonder that is Ainjel Emme.

It's hard to say something great about this CD that hasn't already been said. Without a big budget, and without a million dollar production team this CD is a gem in the independent's landscape. The songs are tight, well played and passionate, with direct lyrics and tastefully chosen poetry. Even though the later half of the album seems to loose some of it's familiar musical feel, a dozen listens still breeds something new and exciting, right to the bitter end.

It takes you on a muscial journey into the soul of women who knows our joys, our pains, our triumphs, our secrets and our hopes. This alblums lifts you up and inspires.

This record is so inspiring. I love it. The first time I heard it, I liked it right away. But it grows on you even more with each listen. The musicanship along with Ainjel's wonderful voice gives each song a spirituality that is absolutely penetrating.
Fragile, confessional, soulful and beautiful. I can sit and listen calmly, run about the house doing chores, but the one thing I can't stop doing (and don't want to) is stop singing these songs. Forever.

Cant. Stop. Listening.
Having heard tracks from this for the last couple years, I was anxious to hear the entire CD. I could barely contain myself when it arrived and I haven't been able to turn it off. Ainjel's voice and lyrics speak to me and the music is fantastic. Any praise I could give it just wouldn't be good enough to describe how much I love this CD.

Ainjel's debut is no disappointment
Ainjel's cd is nothing short of fantastic. Her lyrics are honest and universal, without resorting to tired cliches and sentimentality. The music is beautiful--melodic rock at its best. This girl is truly talented--I'm already eagerly anticipating a follow-up.

Heartache is Boring is one of the best albums I own. If you don't fall in love with this album, you have no heart.

This music grabs you
I was randomly looking through the new arrivals in cdbaby on the day that this album first turned up. What good fortune for me. I listened to the 3 song samples (2 of which are full length on the artists web site), and was immediately ‘grabbed’ by the music. The moment the music started I was intrigued by the sound, and then the voice started and I was entranced. By the next day I was determined to buy the album, however it had sold out already! I registered to be informed when it came back. While I was at work it came back in stock, but by the time I got home to order it was sold out again. When it finally arrived back again a few days later I ordered it online from work!!
The CD arrived in the mail today, it is fantastic. Don’t think the 3 picked out for sampling are the best, there are 10 fantastic tracks on the disc.
Recommendation: Buy the album (don’t wait, this one seems popular! It turned up on best sellers of the week in its first week of existence on cdbaby!), sit in your most comfortable chair, turn the stereo up and be transported into Ainjel Emme musical world.
When the next album is released I will be among the first to buy it.

I can't wait for the next record! Ainjel Emme is going to be around for a long, long time.
