Album Notes
This album blends popular traditional Irish tunes with those less commonly played, and features four of Aislinn's own compositions, including one with the album’s namesake. Joining Aislinn on select tracks are some of Chicago’s finest Irish musicians: Liz Carroll (fiddle), Teresa Shine (fiddle) and John Williams (concertina).

Inspired by the concept of “the thin place” (the hazy boundary between the fairy world and this one), Aislinn wrote a tune of the same name from the musical perspective of being “in the groove” or “in the zone.” As a musician it is this timeless place between our physical world and the intangible world of music where magic happens.

Aislinn is a professional Irish harpist based in Chicago, and is well sought after as a performer, teacher and recording artist. Known for her syncopated and rhythmic accompaniment, Aislinn's compositions and arrangements offer a fresh perspective to the Irish music tradition.

I love this cd!
This cd has become one of my “go to” CDs when I want to relax. The music is beautiful and Aislinn’s technique is wonderful. As a visual artist I like having music in the background to help me create my pieces, “The Thin Place” is one of the CDs I use while working. This should definitely be a part of your Irish collection.
