Album Notes
Music is actually a spiritual phenomenon. While this and so many other of life’s realities are not taught in our western cultures, it is revealed in many ways. We intuitively use music as therapy, programming a selection based on the energy one wants to embody; for example, a song with a tempo matching the heartbeat rhythm one wishes for their physical workout, or a song telling a story similar to what one is going through, etc. Also, music affects the brain and nervous system in very complex and profound ways, apparently much more than visual input does. Further, music is intrinsic to every religious event involving humans since at least recorded history began. Even in cultures that have isolated from others for many generations, music, or the soul expressing itself, always happens. Each culture sees a form of music blossom from its roots that is still understood as an expression of a common collective consciousness by all in touch with the collective superconsciousness. This expression reflects, through its ‘style’, the unique lifestyles, culture and tradition of those allowing the music, affected by those participating with, whether other musicians or listeners. Music becomes a synchronicity of all participating. The more awareness brought to listening, the deeper the experience can become. Deep, slow breathing corresponds to a more silent inner space, where consciousness blooms. Allow the eyes to close, watching the breath fill the lungs slowly, then completely empty them just as slowly. Allow the awareness to notice any part of the body that has tension, then feel yourself ‘breathing in’ to the tension, filling the lungs, and then ‘breathe out’ the tension through the out breath. Allow the music to bring you to yourself. To a very deep space inside that perhaps, you’ve temporarily forgotten. “Reassure yourself” that its ok to experience this as you go deeper. - Its ok to experience my true nature - Continuing the deep breathing will help with feeling ‘grounded’ during the journey. Its natural to ‘forget to breathe’, bringing us into a dream realm. When you remember, just keep going back to deep breathing. Whatever occurs during the journey is what is needed. Allow the gratitude to arise into consciousness. Allow yourself to let go and go deeper… and deeper.
At the conclusion of the journey deep within, slowly allow yourself to come back to your normal waking consciousness. Coming back, just notice how this peace and awareness can be ‘brought back’ to our day to day lives. Allow some of this ‘centeredness’ to be integrated into ‘normal’ consciousness. Notice how regular deep listening can transform our very cells, transform our daily perspective and start to open the heart and integrate gratitude into our lives. Leading a more grateful life changes the chemistry of our bodies in a way that leads to health, strength, renewed energy, greater intelligence and a more ‘connected’ feeling.

as there are people.
Transcending the safety
of an organized religion,
of a social convention,
the journey of the inner is one of
challenges and transformation.
Listen consciously.
When challenged,
breathe deeply, relax and listen deeper.
Let your body move as it likes.
If you are moved to participate vocally,
whether through singing, laughing,
shouting or crying,
allow yourself to do so.
Just watch what happens inside of you.
