Album Notes
Most people associate Bram Stoker with Eastern Europe, but the author of Dracula was an Irishman, and wrote a number of chilling horror stories set in the Irish countryside. "The Judge's House" is one of his most chilling. Storyteller Alan Irvine is a master of the spoken word ghost story. In this story, Alan adapts Stoker's tale into a creepy story full of menace and unease. Alan evokes the skittering and scratching of the rats inside the walls of the old house, the strange menace of the evil black rat that appears each night, and the growing terror of the young student caught up in the grip of a malevolent ghost.
