Album Notes
"Let Christmas Find You" is a collection of original, acoustic guitar-based, "saccharine-reduced" Christmas songs. They are for the wary, and the weary.

These tunes are a reaction to those "forced, fake, Sugar-High that never ends" Christmas songs where everything is absolutely perfect, where no one is sad, where everything works out wonderfully & where no one is ever lonely. My personal "Christmas Experiences" & those Happy Happy Happy songs have very little in common, especially as I get older.

Last Christmas was the most emotionally horrible time of my life.

But I survived! I kept going & got through it. Months later, even I had to admit that my life was getting better. On a whim, I searched my pile of unrecorded songs to pick out the Christmas-e ones, thinking they were all too grim & too miserable for human consumption.

So, I started recording. Much to my surprise (& maybe disappointment?) I found the tunes were not completely negative & were not totally depressing. Instead, they kind'a ended positively. This discovery blew my whole self-image of being a jaded, wary & weary curmudgeon. (Who knew!?!?!)

These songs were all recorded, mixed & mastered in my wee apartment on Woodbine Ave., or in my wee car @ Humber Bay Park West, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in November & December of 2018.

You can learn more about the individual songs on my wee website.

MacLeod promises much and...........delivers!
With just enough of a cynical edge to keep my toes tapping in time to the beat, I thoroughly enjoyed these ditties. Exactly what I needed to keep my mind occupied and off the fact I’m breaking with Vegan for one night and enjoying a free range organic Turkey ....thanks Alan!
