Album Notes
Jazz Vocalist's Robin Aleman's sophomore effort includes classic and contemporary jazz tunes with a wide variety of styles, including swing, bossa nova, funk and latin. She is once again backed by a stellar lineup of musicians - David Epstein on piano, Bob Sabin on bass, and Brian Adler on drums. Nathan Childers joins the cast on saxophone for three of the selections.

A native of the Bronx, Robin began studying voice with Phil Campanella soon after graduating from Fordham University. She has also studied jazz with acclaimed artists Dena DeRose, Tierney Sutton and Nancy Marano.

In 2003, Robin co-founded the Latin jazz band, Dos, which encompassed all styles of Latin music. In 2005, her debut CD was released to critical acclaim and in 2007, Robin was listed in Volume IV of the World Who’s Who in Jazz, Cabaret, Music and Entertainment.

Robin is currently on the faculty at The Singers Forum in New York City, teaching private voice lessons. She also taught in their Youth Scholarship Program. This program specialized in private voice and theory classes to at-risk youth in New York City and Princeton, NJ.
