Alexander Makarov

The honored artist of Russia, since 1986 the professor of Folk instruments department in the St. Petersburg State Conservatory of Rimsky-Korsakov.
Graduated from Minsk Musical College of Glinka (Class of L.Bulyga) in 1977 and from St Petersburg State Conservatory of Rimsky-Korsakov (class of Professor I.Shitenkov) in 1982.
The winner of different music competitions. 1980 - 1986 the soloist of the Andreev’s Orchestra of Folk Instruments and Leningrad Chamber Orchestra of "Ancient and modern music", in collaboration with whom numerous recordings of Domra solo and orchestra music were made. 1988 - 1990 the member of Russian folk instruments ensemble "Balalaika" which toured in Germany, France, Poland, Brazil, the UK. 1991 - 1999 the soloist and the concertmaster of the St. Petersburg State Russian Concert Orchestra.
He took part in many music festivals among them: the Linkoping festival (Sweden), Ohrid Summer, Skopsko summer (Macedonia) , the Seoul City Festival (South Korea) , the International Arts Festival , the International Festival of Chamber Music (Bulgaria),The Musical Spring, Easter Festival, The Gavrilin Festival, Names of Petersburg, Constellation of Masters (Russia).
Often tours through the USA, Japan, Germany, Finland, Poland, South Korea, Denmark, Scotland and Israel.
He is the author of educational works, transcriptions, transpositions, performing editions, repertoire collections. He also gives master classes, and performs as the jury member for the performing competitions.


Alvina Voznesenskaya

The winner of Russian and international competitions, the graduate of Gnesins Russian Academy of Music (domra class of Honoured Artist of Russia, Professor, Composer A.Tsygankov).
The graduate of of the St Petersburg State Conservatory of Rimsky-Korsakov (domra, mandolin class of Professor, Honored Artist of Russia A.Makarov).
She usually takes part in mandolin master classes with the world's most famous mandolin players: Ugo Orlandi (Italy), Caterina Lichtenberg (Germany) and Michael Marshall (USA) and others.
The numerous winner of Russian and international competitions, including Young Talents award of St-Petersburg Government, International Competition Kama (domra, Russia), International Competition-Festival Prague Star (domra, ensemble, Czech Republic), TIM - Torneo Internazionale di Musica (mandolin, Italy), International Competition Concorso Raffaele Calace (mandolin, Italy), finalist of The 5th Osaka International Mandolin Competition, (mandolin, Japan).
Alvina performs both solo and with various bands in Russia and abroad. She has given solo concerts with programs of Chamber music, Original music for mandolin solo, Spanish music, Japanese music in St-Petersburg Conservatory, Beloselsky-Belozersky Palace, Samoilovs Museum, flat-museum Rimsky-Korsakov, Mikhailovsky castle and other important music places of St-Petersburg. Every year she gives a concert of chamber and modern music as domra and mandolin player in Gnesins Academy of music. Gave a personal concert for original solo mandolin music in Orvieto Mancinelli Theatre (Italy). In 2012 July, she released the first solo album "Mandolin Solo".
