Album Notes
Alexis Kosiak has consistently forged her own distinct path in life, and this directly correlates to her unique, fresh musical style. Her album “love, alexis” was written over the course of 4 years and ultimately recorded in Nashville, TN when she was 18. Don’t be fooled by her age, however, because while this album is definitely relatable, it is far from a documentation of classic teenage drama. Alexis has primarily found inspiration in artists that truly capture the heart of an experience. Example include Joni Mitchell, Elvin Bishop, Frank Sinatra, the Beatles, and Blue Swede. She is also influenced by modern artists like Jack Johnson, Ed Sheeran, and Taylor Swift. Such a combination of styles understandably leads to a product that is exceptionally unique, and has a quality that appeals to all ages. Young people find their own stories in the lyrics and song style, while older audiences are reminded of music they loved to listen to as they grew up. The album is not without a professional touch either. Alexis was extremely fortunate to record in The Sound Emporium Studios with musicians that have played with artists including Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Florida Georgia Line, Tim McGraw, Jason Aldean, Lee Ann Womack, Blake Shelton and Big and Rich. Ultimately, Alexis wants to share her unique music with everyone she can. She regularly posts YouTube videos of both her own songs and covers of other artists’ material, and has made her way across stages in the Midwest, where she was born and raised, and even larger venues across the country. She currently resides in Altanta, Georiga, where she continues to write and play music.
