Album Notes
Alex McArtor is a seventeen-year-old singer/songwriter from Texas. Alex loves to write poetry and began to create music and pen songs when she was fourteen. Alex recently released a handful of tracks that she wrote and recorded for her debut EP, “Spoken Word”, to enthusiastic acclaim. Urban music blog, Global Money World, says, “Going through so much music you can only hope to find some good gems along the way but what's even sweeter is finding the next big star. That artist you hear, and you know for certain without a doubt they will be huge, and you will hear their name around the world. The person I am talking about is 16-year-old singer/ songwriter Alex McArtor.” European music critic, Bran Morrighan, says, “Spoken Word is introspective and redemptive and packages an atmosphere of raw emotion and lust…we are going to hear a lot about this 16-year-old.”

Alex’s musical influences include: The Velvet Underground, Joy Division, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Bob Dylan, The Doors, David Bowie, etc. Alex's Passion for film inspires her to create cinematography through sound.
