Album Notes
This album is intensely personal for me. I never believed I could write music, and one day my Aunt said "Why don't you just try? How do you know you can't write music if you've never even tried?"

Music had always been very regimented for me. I had never experimented with music, never tried to improvise. For me music was learning to play the classics and going through my Grades at the Royal Conservatory in Toronto.

I remember sitting down at the piano that day. I didn't know how to write music yet, so I focused on trying to feel something. Something I could express in a song that would speak to other people. I began writing "Swept Away (Paula's Song)" which is dedicated to my Aunt Paula who inspired me to write my first piece of music.

That was a eureka moment for me. So many times we sell ourselves short, assuming and saying "I can't".

I wrote these songs for myself. I never thought anyone else would would want to hear them. It's with the encouragement of friends and family that this album is available at all. Every song represents a moment or emotion in my life. I hope you find the music soothing, evocative and healing.
