Album Notes
Alice & Bob are a singer songwriter duo. They have been making a name for themselves at local coffee houses in the Portland, Oregon Metro area as well as in Vancouver, WA. This album includes the fan favorites and best songs from their shows. You will find tender love ballads, such as "When You Look At Me" or "My Lady" and comedic folk songs such as "Me And Bonnie Raitt" or "Bass Beat". Country themes include "If You've Never Had Tequila" and "Get Out Of Town Before The Rodeo Starts" while "Like A Bee" is a funky blues number. This wide variety of genres and moods are accompanied by an equally diverse collection of instruments. With acoustic guitar as a foundation, songs include harmonica, recorder, keyboards, bass, percussion and vocal backgrounds.

Bob Lawyer is an acoustic guitar player from Milwaukie, OR. He has been composing and performing on guitar for over 40 years. He has played a wide variety of styles, ranging from rock, in the band "Flight United" to folk in the bands "Ole and The Scandinavian Hot Shots" and "Wie Kommer In Frit". In addition to 6 string guitar and 12 string guitar he also performs on banjo, harmonica, piano and sitar. Stylistic influences are Leo Kottke and James Taylor. As a studio musician he performed on the albums "Lead Me To The Light" and "Sing Me A Song". His most current solo album, "Bob's Best Songs" is on the Fat Fish label.

Alice Olsen of Vancouver, WA is a singer, songwriter, composer and music publisher. Author of over 70 works, her music has been published by Warner Bros. Publications, Hal Leonard Publications, Waterloo Music and Plank Road Publishing Co. as well as by her own publishing company. Her song writing credits include 10 songs on “Life Beyond Words” performed by Jennifer Taylor, “So Far” on Ray Whitlock’s album “New Beginnings” and her own albums. She is the owner of Fat Fish Productions. The company's albums include “Lead Me To The Light”, "Angels We Have Heard On High", “The Place Of All Hearts Healing”, "Bob's Best Songs" and "Give A Dog A Bone". She has been an internationally known music educator, specializing in the Orff approach and has played in a variety of bands including "The Dhahran Early Music Ensemble", "Ole and The Scandinavian Hot Shots" and "Wie Kommer In Frit".
