ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This short Conversation, a complex piece has been written for four SANTUR Hammered Dulcimer to highlight techniques, capabilities of multiline Santur in dissimilar tuning, and how the harmonics and counterpoint are built from the resonated strings while there are no abilities to control unwanted frequencies of simple metal strings on instruments. This song reminds the Persian contemporary music in Baroque form for Hammered Dulcimer.

Alireza Javaheri has been known as a representative of Persian Classical Music in Santur for more than two decades with his publications, focusing on transcription and written several books for this instrument. And, he has also released numerous albums in wide ranges of musical capabilities including Persian Traditional Music and Solos.
