Album Notes
Reviews from allbut6ix' debut album:

Music icon, Terry David Mulligan, has said “This is an amazing album…and (of Gonna Get There) a sensational track…Great music deserves to be heard.” (Mulligan Stew)

In Cashbox Canada, Sandy Graham wrote: "When All But 6ix arrived on our review desk, it was one of those refreshing moments when I remembered why I am in this business to start with – the music.... A ‘must have’ for any music lover, and ‘pay attention’ to singer/songwriters on what it takes to write great tunes and produce them in a crisp, beautiful production."

Rock critic David Kereiff wrote "After a tough day or even a tough week, the right music can peel you off the ceiling and put you back on your feet with a smile on your face - allbut6ix is just such a record...this disc mellows me out and it just plain feels good." (Gonzo Online)

"Atlantic Seabreeze gives this album top ratings on its rating list. "Beautiful sounds and music is the highlight of this album."

Kerry Doole: "Allbut6ix is led by singer-songwriter-multi-instrumentalist Dwight Druick, a well-travelled artist who has recorded in London, Nashville and at the legendary Muscle Shoals studio and worked with fellow Canadian Kirk Lorange (their duo album drew praise in Europe). Driven by his soulful vocals, his eclectic sound defies easy categorization, drawing on folk, jazz, Caribbean and soul elements with equal facility, and this debut album from his new project is already attracting attention. Guitarist Lorange is one of the fine players featured, and horns, pedal steel, and B3 add sonic depth. Highlights include jazz-soul hybrid "In Another Time" and the Bill Withers vibe of "Honeydew". Impressive stuff. Let's hope for gigs soon." (New Canadian Music)

The StarPhoenix says: "These guys are superb musicians, pretty much doing anything they want...For your next romantic dance session or relaxed drive (does anyone do that anymore?) try All But 6ix."

Beautifully diverse!
Great music, diverse roots. The lyrics are thoughtful and engaging. The tunes beautifully mastered. A must listen!
