All India Radio return to the lush atmospheric and instrumental music of earlier albums on the bands new album A Low High. Special guests include Graham Lee (The Triffids) on pedal steel guitar, Jen Anderson on strings and some evocative ambient sounds from Australian rock legend Ed Kuepper (The Saints and now Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds guitarist).

The last few years have been very busy for All India Radio with an ARIA nomination, signing to legendary Chicago label Minty Fresh, a US tour and a collaboration with Australian music legend Steve Kilbey (The Church) who wrote the magical 'Under The Milky Way' (rediscovered by the world in the hit movie 'Donnie Darko’).

With barely perceptible shades of triphop sound experimentation, moody folk, and brightly shining feminine atmosphere, Fall can easily be classified as one of 2008's most beautiful albums - properlychilled.com

Fall is hauntingly beautiful. The lyrics capture you like a burst of lightening in the distance...be careful, the music will capture you like a menacing but beautiful storm. - blogcritics.org

Here’s one to seek out. All India Radio are a Melbourne outfit that have been around for ages quietly making some of the most interesting and assured music in this city...The End Or Near could be Melbourne’s Unfinished Sympathy or Sour Times, it’s that good - Melbourne Magazine

In a word - beautiful. Thats the adjective for the latest AIR release. You'll feel it, you'll believe it - Life really is easy. Neat-o - Getamungstit

The final song Axphixciate gives the album an Australian feel and demonstrates the band's intoxicating qualities. – The Age EG

Peters at CD Baby

After listening to the first two tracks here, you'll have a good idea of what you're getting into, and you'll love it: sublime slide guitar work, dreamy beats and ambient synths, moody muted trumpets, and tremolo guitars that sound like an Ennio Morricone dream. It's altogether lovely, lush, and thrilling. Later in the album, strings, piano, and acoustic guitars are deftly woven in and out of the mix. While not easily classified, this dreamy instrumental electronic/post-rock is reminiscent at times of Daniel Lanois, at other times Air, and at other times Portishead or even UNKLE.It's a really engaging blend of sounds that truly sound like nothing else. WIth some big name special guests and immaculate mixing and production work, "A Low High" is a pure pleasure.

A Low High = Bliss
I've got no idea how he does it, but Martin Kennedy is like a one man factory of bliss - churning out release after release of stellar ambient pop. This is the perfect soundtrack to that roadtrip through wide open spaces! Highly recommended!

A low high
I'm a dreamer man and Am not the only one!
It's wicked, relaxing, healing, lounging, stoned but sober, blending harmony, go spirit!
