ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"One of the finest Canadian alt-rock albums of the year."
--Chris White, PartyInKingston.com

“From the first track: Soul Deposit with it's hard rock approach and tight riffs, you know that this band is more than capable of playing their instruments. As the CD plays through, you get something a bit different out of every track... Very well rounded song writing.”
--Darrin Buchanan, Greentoe.net

“Thumbs up guys, we want more!!”
--Wippsson, Melodic.net

Emerging onto the Toronto indie scene, ALL THE BRIGHTNESS are quickly making a name for themselves with their potent combination of modern rock and power pop. Fresh, concise, energized and emotive: these adjectives could be used interchangeably to describe either their recorded material or their live performance. As such, this is a power-trio not to be missed, whether on CD or on stage. Comprised of Nick Mazzei (Vocals, Guitar), Kevin Bailey (Bass Guitar) and Pete Maniatis (Drums), ALL THE BRIGHTNESS present an overall package characterized by powerful rhythms and melodic vocals, catchy hooks and anthemic choruses.

Their debut album 'Lost in the Soul Deposit' has already attracted the attention of critics and fans, earning the band numerous rave reviews, both locally and abroad, and several placements as 'Modern Rock Track of the Day' on GarageBand.com. Recorded at Electric Machine Studios with producer Sean Baillie (Lindi) and engineer Darius Szczepaniak (Sum 41), the 10-song disc was provisionally released in conjunction with an immensely successful fundraising event, benefiting the Cardiac Kids program at Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children, which sold 650 tickets and packed Toronto's esteemed Revival Nightclub.

The band has spent most of the past year promoting themselves locally, building a strong internet fanbase, and honing their live show. In this short period of exposure, ALL THE BRIGHTNESS have already earned such acclaims as 1st prize in the 'Rock/Alternative' category of the 2006 USA Songwriting Competition (for the song 'Never You'), being named one of the Top 20 Unsigned Bands of 2006 at AlternativeAddiction.com, a nomination for 'Best Alternative Band' at the Toronto Independent Music Awards and placing as finalists in the 2006 Toronto Indie Week festival. They were also sought out to record the theme song for reality TV show 'Crash Addicts', airing on The Outdoor Life Network.

Recently, the band has signed a deal with L.A. based music licensing firm Crucial Music, for placement of the song 'Never You' in Film and Television media. In preparation for the re-release of 'Lost in the Soul Deposit', ALL THE BRIGHTNESS completed their first video, for 'Never You' (currently in rotation at MuchLoud), and a follow-up video is currently in the works. The second pressing of their album coincides with a U.S. college radio campaign and more gigging. All the while, ATB continue to build on their impressive arsenal of original material.

AtB kicks ass!
Lost in the Soul Deposit has an awesome compilation of songs. From one song to the next, you’re just as enticed to continue listening on. AtB needs some sort of airplay! Soul Deposit is exactly what we like to hear. I think this album has great dynamics, giving some of the more “known” bands a run for their money.

Superb melodic rock - well written and musically very assured.
I heard about this outfit from www.melodic.net, and with comparisons to Closure, Nickelback and Forty Foot Echo, they sounded just my cup of Rosie Lee (tea - I'm English, you see!). And indeed, they tick all the right boxes. Great songs, fabulously infectious hooks, great musicianship, and passionate vocals. Well worth checking out if contemporary melodic rock is your thing.
