Album Notes
Before he was Alohi he was Lyle van Loon and was recognized as one of the" 18 Most talented people under 21 " by a local magazine in New Mexico. He played three lead roles in Musicals. Began having solo art exhibitions at 16 years old. Traveled alone in Thailand for six months at 19 and spent 2 1/2 months at a Buddhist monastery in attending five and ten day silent meditations retreats during that time.

Alohi was born just two years ago, on the big island of Hawaii, the same island where he was born under a different name 21 years before. It was on Easter that he was reborn after a deeply profound spiritual experience with a new undeniable calling. To write songs of beauty and joy, of contemplation and love, and to deliver them to the world. The writing began the next morning and continues daily. Just one year later there are 51 songs and counting. Alohi has come to the mainland from his island home to share these songs with the world. Alohi does not take full credit for this creation. He feels that this music is a collaboration between the infinite source of all creation, and the being called Alohi who simply arranges bits and pieces of the infinite inspiration and shares them through song.

The music is touching and inspiring. It is uplifting and contemplative. Joyful and sensitive. His voice sings directly to your heart and soul, with poetic and eloquent words of love, gratitude and contemplation. With sounds ranging from the softest of lullabies to reggae and hip hip influenced rhythms Alohi has song for any mood, so long as the listeners intention is to rise up, and live and love wholeheartedly.
