Album Notes
For seven years, Amadan has cut its teeth in the clubs, bars, stages, and highways of the Pacific Northwest. Seeking to break the molds of traditional music, punk rock, and live performance with their raucous and fast-paced three-hour rock shows and searing musicianship, these six have emerged from the recording of their third full-length album with a sound that is post-celtic, post-world and post-punk. This music is from the barroom and the surface streets, and represents life’s daily struggles and rewards. This is music for the revolution. This is Amadan.

Adamant. Unapologetic. Relentless. Movement is requisite.
Pacifica is certainly the evolved child of Amadan. This is a fast-paced, relentless album from second ONE of Old North End until the eerie, uneasy finale of Devolution Now. This album showcases each instrument in Amadan's repertoire, as in any of their live shows: we hear that perfect blending of punk guitar, creamy bass, drum kit and electric fiddle, filling in the background with didgeridoo, penny whistle, spoons, mouth (additional vocals), and more cowbell. And Tonsfeldt's voice is just another instrument utilized in this mini-orchestra; lyrics are merely an allegory that the smart listener can appreciate. Although Pacifica nears perfection, the Damn This! track falls short of its live version actuation, but Amadan makes up for it soon after with Devil in the Kitchen. In Pacifica, Amadan does not ask you to dance--it's just imperative that you do. Lest ye 'splode.

All I can say is I can't stop listening to it. Job well done!

Another outstanding CD from Amadan
This CD spews fun and excitement from each and every track with the exception of the last one, which is actually no fun at all (but still quite an interesting change of pace). My favorites were Mescaline, Devil in the Kitchen, and Anchor Tattoo for anyone keeping score at home. This is probably my favorite CD from Amadan so far, and it has easily secured a permanent spot on my listening rotation. One suggestion for the band: in my humble opinion, every song on your next CD should have a yelling part.

My nephew plays the drums - awesome!!
This CD is very good. I am partial to Sons of Liberty by Amadan but this shows how they are working together as a unit for their good sound.

AAARRRGHS describe it best!
That is: Absolutely awesome, Astonishingly rapid, Raw restlessness, Great harmonies, & Sensational describe this album. Pats on the back for all these guys! I can't wait to see an Amadan concert!

I came to Corvallis in October 2006 and I've seen Amadan my first time at the fall festival. At the fall festival I bought the first 2 CS's from them. When I checked theire homepage I knew about a new CD last year. So I ordered that CD also. I really like all CD's. All of them are different and I never get bored to listen to all CD's of Amadan. This band became to one of my favourite bands. I really like the new one but I can't say which I like best. I wish I could see a live concert again (hope one day over here in Europe/Germany). Thanks for this music!!!

One word: Awesome!!!
Great cd guys... awesome. Definitely worth the wait. Can't wait to see ya guys in Seattle again!!!!!

Keep getting better!
I still remember when I was blown away seeing these guys performing songs from Sons of Liberty at Kell's in 2001. Been a huge fan ever since. This just solidifies their musicality and desire to improve and always grow as musicians. Keep them coming, Amadan!
