Album Notes
Amanda Dumas is back! Amanda Dumas is about to explode onto the music scene and establish herself amongst the many talented female singer songwriters of today. As a former BMG published artist, now independent, Amanda released her first independent EP, "Pink Shoes and Tuna Fish," in August 2005. Her vocal styling and writing abilities reveal a startling pure, organic, witty, sarcastic, and honest approach to music, while her musical subject contents touch all of us making us laugh and sometimes cry.

Amanda Dumas is a born and raised "valley girl" who's mother, a veteran music executive, when she was pregnant with Amanda, put headphones on her belly feeding into her child Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, Sergio Mendes, Michael Jackson, Ella Fitzgerald, John Coltrane, Earth Wind and Fire, Joao Gilberto, Nancy Willson, Sarah Vaughn and many more. Ever since then music is the only thing that has fed and will continue to feed Amanda's soul. The only way to describe Amanda Dumas' music is ECLECTIC SOUL. "The singer/songwriter is poised to be the next in that line of acoustic soul divas such as India.Arie, only with a refreshing and youthful spin on issues of love and life for today's generation."...(The Urban Network/Scott Galloway) This guitar playing, singer/songwriting young woman has worked with producers such as the amazing Marcus Miller, Chaka Blackmon, Wally Gagle, Rick Neigher, Larry Klein, Dick Rudolph, Greg Poree and many more. You can look forward to having an "experience" when you see her live performance. With an upright bass, percussions, acoustic guitar and Amanda on classical guitar, she takes you on a journey of love, emotion, sensuality, and playfulness.

Her accomplishments as a teenager have already been impressive. At 15, Amanda performed on and won Disney's TV series, 2 Hour Tour. Other credits include: opening for the GoGo's (2003), performing during the opening ceremony at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, and touring with Andrew Lloyd Weber's musical Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. She is also a talented actress and can be heard on Tom Joyner's show, It's Your World.

Amanda frequents the local music scene performing regularly in Los Angeles, as well as Austin, New York City, and Washington D.C.. She has performed as a special guest and opening act to amazing artists such as Earth Wind and Fire, Lalah Hathaway, Rahsaan Patterson, Ledisi, Marcus Miller, Regina Belle, Tyler Hilton, Edwin McCain, KEM, Alejandro Escovedo, and Etta James.
