Album Notes
Being raised in Leader, Saskatchewan has given singer/ songwriter Amber Schneider a solid foundation for her country roots. She is extremely enthusiastic and passionate about music and has been singing, dancing and playing the piano since a very early age.

A new, fresh young female artist to the Canadian county music scene Amber is more than just a pretty face. With her shockingly solid vocals and a perfect blend of grace and attitude on-stage, it is plain to see that Amber has just what it takes to rise to the top. Her debut CD, Fearless, is no exception to her talents; with two songs to hit the Canadian Country Music Charts, the album's popularity is already on the rise. The CD showcases Amber's musical ability as not only a singer, but a songwriter as well. She finds a way to accomplish all these things with a certain ease after years of experience as a musician and a performer. With so many things going for her, it would be difficult to believe that Amber is going anywhere but up.

Amber’s self-titled CD was produced by Craig Learmont at MuzikHaus in Three Hills, Alberta. The album features some of Canada’s best musicians, including Robin Pelletier (Adam Gregory), Chad Melchert(Adam Gregory), Paul Faber (Gord Bamford), Ryan Davidson(Steve Fox ) Ben Beveridge and Samantha King (background vocals). The talented Jessica Robinson worked on the project as well by designing the artwork and graphics.

Amber’s first single was released to national country radio in June 2006 by RDR Music Group.“Fearless” written by Kim McLean and Devon O’ Day of Nashville debuted at #100 on the Cancountry Chart in the Oct/06 issue of Country Music News and peaked at #92 in January/07. “Love Is”, Amber’s second single, released off the Fearless album debuted at #68 on the Cancountry Chart in Feb /07 and has continued to climb in the last few months.

Her debut album is receiving amazing press reviews from all across Canada. As a result, Amber has recently signed a national distribution agreement with D2/Fontana North/Universal Records and her album will be available in stores sometime later this summer.Comstock Records launched Amber’s “Fearless” campaign to the international market as of May 11,2007. Although still early in the campaign Amber’s songs are being added to play lists in many countries already such as Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Austria, Japan, UK, Holland, France, The Netherlands & Germany.

Amber was nominated for “ Female Vocalist of the Year “ at the 2006 SCMA awards, which were held in Nipawin. She was honored to be in the same category along side Jessica Robinson and Melanie Laine. Amber was also chosen to showcase at the 2006 SCMA awards in the adult category and performed at the President’s Banquet hosted by Brad Johner.

In recent years Amber has shared the stage with some cool people such as Aaron Pritchett, Derric Ruttan, Emerson Drive, Melanie Laine, Jessica Robinson, Brad Johner, Patricia Conroy & Sean Hogan.

Amber is already on her way to becoming a seasoned entertainer having performed at many different venues across Saskatchewan and Alberta including Carlton Trail Jamboree (2006) where she opened for Aaron Pritchett, Big Valley Jamboree (ATB Stage 2006) Carlton Trail Jamboree (2005), “A Taste of Saskatchewan” (2005) in Saskatoon, Telemiracle 29 (2005) and Telemiracle 25 (2001) Amber was a finalist in Country Vocal Spotlight (2006) and a semi-finalist in Country Vocal Spotlight in 2004 & 2003 held at Rexall Place, a semi-finalist in the Big Country Talent Contest sponsored by CKRM in Regina in 2005 & 2003 as well as a semi-finalist in the Saskatchewan Youth Talent Search in 2001, 2002 & 2003. Amber showcased at the Saskatchewan Country Music Awards in the youth category in 2004. For six months in 2004 Amber toured with Saskatchewan Express as a vocalist in their “Love Is All You Need” Summer Tour. She had an exciting summer as this touring musical revue held performances all over Saskatchewan and also performed at the Canadian Lakehead Exhibition in Thunderbay, Ontario .She was blessed to work with such a wonderful cast of dedicated performers and made friendships that will last a lifetime. Amber has performed at many events held by the PACMA including their Christmas Show, Gospel Show and the Grandstand Show in Prince Albert involving SCMA members and Voices of the North. Other fundraising functions that she has been a part of include Festival Of Trees, Edmonton,Leader’s Grand Ole Opry, Spiritwood’s Grand Ole Opry, Spiritwood Days, North Battleford’s Fam Jam. She also entertained for four days on the outdoor stage at the Swift Current Fringe Festival under the name of Shivah in 2002 and although it was August, it was so cold you could see your breath!

For the past two years Amber has been studying at Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton and has attained a Music Diploma in Voice/ Performance Major. She was also a vocalist for the Grant MacEwan Showcase Band for both years that she attended.

Amber is the lead singer for her country band “ BuckWild” based out of Edmonton, Alberta. She has maintained an aggressive tour schedule in conjunction to attending College. Because BuckWild are young and energetic they “rock the house” wherever they play and are loved by fans of all ages.

In addition to music, Amber has studied various dances over the years including jazz, lyrical jazz, hip hop, pointe, musical theatre and ballet. Studying such a variety of dance has enhanced Amber’s stage presence making her a top-notch performer even at such a young age.

Amber believes in giving back to her community not only locally but nationally as well. It is because of these beliefs, that Amber was a team member of “Homes For Hope” Mexico Missions 2004 & 2005 where she traveled to Vicente Guerrero, Mexico to build homes for less fortunate families.

Amber was encouraged by Terri Clark in 1996 after she gave her a hug in Medicine Hat and told her to” keep singing.” She continues to be inspired by her favorite artists such as Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood, Shania Twain & Celine Dion as well as many others. Amber is energetic on stage and puts her whole heart and sole into every performance whether big or small. There is definitely a promising future ahead for this twenty year old in the country music industry.
