by Ambiguous Contrasts

A collection of love songs that explore a mixture of anger, hope, joy, fear, memories of love lost and re-ignited. Melodic, with a focus on harmony, lyrics and emotion. This is original music played and recorded in a very analogue way.

Album Notes
My name is Anthony Vaughan Bartram and I've been writing music since I was 6 years old and songs catch me at any time of day when driving, or whilst I try to sleep. Hopefully I can gig more in my native Milton Keynes this year, and share more music live.

I try to write songs that stand out as different, catchy or meaningful. Something that reflects my own experiences & sometimes helps me comes to terms with them. Love lost. Love found. Sometimes it feels like I'm shouting in silence, running whilst standing still, can't overcome my will. Except when I'm song writing.

Simon Very and I collaborate on song writing. Although, we haven't recorded for a while, he's happy for me to record as Ambiguous Contrasts on my own.

In my spare time I run a small computer games company writing and selling original games that feature my music wih the vocals removed & sell my songs alongside the games. My games and music have generated quite a lot of interest. I've also created my own digital signal processing engine which is forming the basis of some new music.

Searching for my name will bring up more information about me and things which I create and sell. I hope that you buy a track - if it makes you feel something (hopefully a good feeling :-) )

Without music our lives can lose their humanity. Communication, sometimes even without words is fundamental to who and what we are.
