Silver Lake based singer-songwriter, musician, & performing artist Amy Clarke is a soulful, magical songstress of a new era, envisioning empowering paradigms while inviting peace, justice, respect & love.

Amy has opened for and shared stages with a diverse & inspirational collection of artists & projects including Sarah McLachlan & the Indigo Girls (Lilith 2010), Starhawk (2012-14), played keys opening for Poe in a Pre-Grammy Show in Hollywood, visionary painter Amanda Sage, Dave Greene (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Joe Walsh, Steve Ferrone), Cross Pollinate, Reclaiming, Temple of Visions, Sacred Spaces Village at Burning Man & SD Burning Man Decom, Lightning Temple, Ant Farm & Flow Arts Stage at LA Burning Man Decom, The Cutting Room, Busboys & Poets (Artist of the Month), The Viper Room, SXSW, The House of Blues Sunset Strip, the International Alchemy Conference, and many more. With a powerful range, Amy flows from a cappella vocals to acoustic piano and eclectic percussion with grace and style, mixing complex rhythms with deep lyrics, soul, poetry, inspiration, & magic…

A lifelong Washingtonian, Amy Clarke headed north from her hometown Silver Spring, MD and emerged on the New York underground music scene in 2004, opening as an experimental synth keyboardist & vocalist at a series of resident DJ parties in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. She played extensively on the downtown circuit - solo grand piano shows, electronic synth sets, & a hybrid of both (Rose Live Music, Rockwood Music Hall, Bitter End, etc.) - then independently produced and released her debut "After The Fall" EP from her home studio in 2006 to rave reviews, notable acclaim, and a wave of touring. Amy's music has been featured on national, cable & internet TV; FM, Internet, & Sirius Satellite Radio; she has been interviewed on both TV and radio, and has performed at top festivals, clubs, and venues including SXSW, Burning Man, Burning Man Decompression, Playhouse, The Viper Room, The House of Blues, King King, Hotel Cafe, The Black Cat, The Red & The Black, The Bitter End, & Rockwood Music Hall. Amy also played an impromptu set at Lilith 2010 & was then appointed Social Media Ambassador for the penultimate Lilith show for her hometown of Washington, DC, where she interviewed Sarah McLachlan, Indigo Girls, Butterfly Boucher, Courtyard Hounds, Lissie and more backstage at Merriweather Post Pavilion.

In 2013, Amy Clarke was featured locally in Silver Lake, CA opening for an Occupy Love screening at Los Globos, and both in Make Music Silver Lake and The Princess Bride screening at the Silver Lake Picture Show in Sunset Triangle Plaza. She also shared the stage with members of alt-rock bands The 88, The Crazy Squeeze, Foo Fighters & Blind Melon & DJs Lance Rock & Lina Lecaro at The Rockin' Great Pumpkin Fest at Micheltorena Elementary, and has headlined several times at Cross Pollinate at Fais Do Do, most recently opening for Starhawk. Amy also was featured in an LA Weekly cover story on Silver Lake in the fall of 2013. Amy released the single "MARY (her story)", engineered by Sejo Navajas (Vicious Licks/Kamikaze Red) at 4th St Recording and co-produced with Steve Leavitt (Don't Call Us Tori) in Spring '09, received her 5th ASCAP Plus award in January 2011, then released her "We Are The Web" single in time for Winter Solstice 2012. Amy Clarke is finishing her long awaited album project primarily from 4th St Recording in Santa Monica & her studio in Silver Lake, CA for an early 2017 release, and is drawing in strategic alliances, grants, and sponsors for her future sustainable tours.

While primarily a solo artist, on occasion Amy enjoys experimenting with guest musicians and artists, occasionally producing music, mixed media, arts & educational events to benefit sustainably-minded non-profits through her developing initiative GAIA GROVE (www.gaiagrove.org) which aims to help local communities and the environment ~ healing the earth. Amy's label MAAT Music invokes an Egyptian goddess of truth, justice, divine order, harmony, and balance, and she continues to compose, create, produce, perform, grow a sustainable base, and plan eco-music tours. Clarke also earned a Bachelor's Degree in the Science of Foreign Service from Georgetown University (with a focus on Culture & Politics in International Affairs), and a certificate in Electronic Music Production from the SAE Institute of Technology.
