ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Amy Kercsmar is a professional musician with a Bachelor of Music from the Wheaton College Conservatory. She currently teaches and performs on both harp and piano, and enjoys trying to coax music out of anything that makes noise. Many of the tunes performed on this CD were written by Turlough O'Carolan (1670-1738), a blind Irish harper. O'Carolan spent much of his life traveling across Ireland composing and performing songs for his patrons. Over 200 of his melodies have survived.
