Album Notes
All Through the Night - Angel Lullabies for Babies is a very special collection of songs dedicated to families who go through a the shock and fear of a premature birth. Many of these lullabies are songs that I wrote for my own son in my first years as a mother. All of them contain references or request help from angels.

Angels Watch Over My Baby was written when I was five months pregnant with my son. It was a prayer for the angels to watch over my baby if for some reason I could not be there. At the time I wrote it, I couldn't understand why I might ever be separated from my baby.

A few weeks later, we had an emergency premature birth and both nearly lost our lives. Because we delivered at a rural hospital, my son had to be rushed to a hospital with a neonatal intensive care unit. Due to loss of blood, I was not allowed to go with him and had to remain behind until I my own condition was stable.

Before they took my unconscious baby boy to the ambulance, I sang this lullaby to him. Thanks to the wonderful care of our area medical professionals and the lifesaving equipment available today, we both survived and now we are thriving.

As he grew, so did our lullaby routine. Each night, I sing him to sleep with Child of Sunshine, As You Go to Bed, and A Nighttime Blessing. Now that he is older we still sing together or recite A Nighttime Blessing before prayers at bedtime.

These lullabies are recorded in the way mothers have always sung to their babies; with my voice as the only instrument and my heartbeat as the metronome. My prayer is that this music will bring comfort to other families during their own times of trial or inspiration as they head for a time of peace.
