ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Analog Jazz formed in 2008 as a collective and creative endeavor. Analog Jazz delivers a combination of the classic standards, a little spice of R&B and contemporary smooth Jazz. Their list of popular songs have been molded and shaped by the group’s appreciation of original arrangements along with their own unique style.

ANALOG JAZZ is:

Ralph Burnett
Keyboard and Music Director: Ralph is a keyboardist, producer/arranger and songwriter that has been involved in the jazz scene for over twenty years. His professional career began in the '80's when he served as Products Manager for Jazz at MCA Records. He has also managed associated labels: GRP, Impulse!, Narada and JVC Jazz, among others. Ralph is also a longtime music journalist who has interviewed some of jazz music’s most popular musicians for magazines such as Jazziz, Keyboard, The Jazz Review and Play. He has also contributed to the All Music Guide and the Music Hound Jazz Record Guide. Ralph is enjoying his new focus stretching out as a "live" player..

David Gonzalez
Drums and PercussionDavid brings to the band a lifespan of musical experience that spans over forty years as a percussionist for numerous artists. David was born in Cuba and migrated to the United Stated as a young boy. He gravitated towards the drums and percussion stemming from his native culture. His sense of classical and modern style makes him an A List percussionist that brings a wonderful beat to the band.

Dave Eaton
GuitarsDave began playing in the mid 60’s (that's the 19-60s...be nice!) and quickly jumped into the Southern California folk scene. Several groups and a couple of recordings later he was doing frequent solo gigs in places like the Salt Company in Hollywood. His passion for a variety of musical styles has often blended one into another: from folk to folk-rock to rock, to country, jazz, blues and swing. Dave is a recovering tone-aholic, but relapses are frequent and he's found that support groups are all but non-existent.

Leonard Carillo
Bass GuitarsLeonard started playing at the young age of twelve performing in the local scene playing at weddings and grand openings etc. Leonard progressed to touring the US and Europe with a number of recording artist supporting their recordings. His passion is to explore a variety of styles of music. Leonard has performed rock, country, to jazz and loves the challenges that the styles bring. His influences are Paul McCartney, Brian Bromberg , to John Clayton.

Marcus Rivers
Sax The smooth melodic sounds of Marcus Rivers playing sax can only come with over 50 years of performing with the who's -who in the music scene. Known in many circles as "Mr. Sacramento" Marcus has been a rare influence in the Sacramento area music scene as well a master at the improve and ability to meld and blend in with any musical situation. A real treasure to experience.
