Anaya is an unique talented artist - Composer, performer, singer, producer, from Brasilia in Brazil, although she has an international profile.Ranking of TOP Selling and HOT PICK cds in the latin genre in the ex-mp3.com. Interviewing Anaya is like discovering a world of artistic curiosities of a professional musician that is also a dancer and an instrumental performer since 4 years old: an artistic premature genius with a sense of self-taught person, she is also educated in dance, singing, art painting, drama, and maily in guitar, Piano, and in computers. With a Post-Doctorate in Information technologies in the USA(Syracuse) and PhD in England.

worth the money
This is an inexpensive album, so it is worth the risk to see if you would like it. The first cut is a gentle, relaxing piece, reminiscent of 1960s Bossa Nova. Track 2 is more modern in sound having New Age nuances, but likewise relaxing. After the introduction, it sounds more traditionally Brazilian. Track 3 has a more danceable beat with a definite relaxed Latin beat. Track 4 is has even more pep, but seems a little repetitive and less melodic. Track 5 is very repetitive and even less melodic. It is danceable but is rather boring for pure listening. Track six a quite a departure in style. It is highly rhythmical and shows lots of jazz influence. Track 7 seems to have a lot of reverberation and the blur of sounds becomes rather disonant. Melodically it wanders aimlessly. It sounds like someone trying to improvise without a concept of how to achieve coherence. In fact, it should not have been put on the album as it really is out of character with the rest of the pleasing sounds on the album. Track eight sounds like an experiment in electronic music. It is a far cry from the first two tracks, as it sounds more like European Techno than Brazilian Latin pop. Track 9 is more of the same, and the lack of sophisticated melody that is so endearing in Brazilian music is nonexistent. Track 10 begins to sound like a track for a movie that takes place on an alien planet. Track 11 begins the trip back to Brazilian music. It helps make the album worth buying although it is not as nice as the first two tracks. Track 12 is rooted in traditional acoustic Brazilian sound. It is a welcome return. The final track is an interview. I am sure that it could be interesting, but if you do not speak or understand Portuguese it adds nothing to the album. If you do speak Portuguese, then I suspect that you would find it enlightening. I am glad that I did not pay big bucks for this album, because I would have been disappointed. I am satisfied that I got sufficient value for what I paid. The album is correctly priced for what you get. At this price, it is a nice addition to a CD collection.
