ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Australian born singer Andrea Doig first completed her Piano performance degree at the Adelaide Conservatorium, South Australia, before beginning her voice studies. In 1997 she founded the Renaissance Duo Cantus Unicornis, with regular performances in Australia, including the popular Melbourne Winter Festival. She then continued her vocal studies with Cornelius L. Reid in New York, Carol Forte in Toronto, and Susanne John in Bonn. Andrea has lived in Frankfurt, Germany, since 1999. She performs in concert regularly throughout Germany, has toured Hungary and Italy, and has appeared as guest artist on cruises in Europe and Australia.

"On this album, I've enjoyed giving classical songs a folk flavour and singing folk songs in a classical style. Ireland is a recurring theme, the influence coming both from my ancestry, and from the wonderful holidays that I've had in Kerry. I love singing these songs as they fit beautifully in the voice, and I hope you enjoy them too."

Featuring

Andrea Doig (Vocals, Piano)
Ilona Sandor (Piano)
Nils Nolte (Irish Flute)
