ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Coming from the yogic tradition of Shaivism, the mantra sadhana (mantra, which preserves the thoughts and sadhana, regular practice) is a spiritual chanting using Sanskrit as a way to ecstasy. Beyond the meaning and sound, it emphasizes the voicing and the perception of spanda, vibration, through dialogue of songs.
The mantra yogi (one who practices the song) searches to intensify all the dynamic energies within his body, to gather them and thus induce a state of mystical union.
This demanding practice not only involves the voice, but also the breath, concentration and a stable yoga posture.
These recordings are the expression of an inner search. Without replacing a direct transmission and assiduous study, they can allow the listener to approach a form of interiority.
It is advisable to chant in unison with one voice and inhale when listening to the other voice. This will install a breath / chanting rhythm which promotes mental calm and inner silence.
