ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Andrew Abaria is a Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, who infuses his twenty years of classical piano training into his pop music. Drawing upon influences like Queen, Billy Joel, and Adele, Andrew blends these influences with his classical music background to create a new, fresh orchestral pop sound.

Andrew most recently released “We Are the Underdogs,” a five-song EP produced by Mario Marchetti, who is known for producing and writing for Billboard-topping artists, such as Demi Lovato and JoJo. “We Are the Underdogs” is a personal reflection on moments of struggle, heartache, and loss, and is a tribute to everyone who feels undervalued and unseen.

Andrew’s first album, “No Man’s Land,” was released in September 2011 and was featured on AOL Music (alongside Jason DeRulo and the Glee cast). The album received airplay in the US and internationally. Two singles from the five-song EP were chosen as OutRadio’s top singles of 2011 and the lead track, “Dark Room,” was reviewed at the annual ASCAP Expo. Andrew has performed at venues all over Los Angeles, including the El Rey Theater, Shrine Auditorium, and, as a Kollaboration LA 2012 competitor, at the Ford Amphitheater.

When not composing songs, performing, or practicing music, Andrew explores his interests in health, service, and spiritual growth. He keeps a daily meditation and yoga practice, is training for his first half-marathon, and is always eager to share his reflections and life lessons with others. Andrew also serves as a Big Brother mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles. He hopes his music can be another form of service.
