ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Time Frame – Songs from the Play, Migrant Mother" is a compilation of musical arrangements and performances by Andrew Durr produced by Don Setaro. These classic songs were part of the original stage play, Migrant Mother, written by Ken White and produced by Jack Souza and the Prospect Theater Project in January 2017. These songs of the era were selected because they reinforced the themes of the play – poverty, disenfranchisement, class struggle, the art of photography, the role of women in society, and the concept of framing reality. These songs were powerful then and they still are today. Andrew’s unique interpretations of these familiar standards from the American songbook are like nothing you’ve heard before. His take on each of the songs and Don’s production make us realize how moving and timely these songs still are.
