Album Notes
Andrew Grenci performs as a soloist, chamber musician, and large ensemble player in the USA and around the world. Also an active composer and arranger, his "Concerto in Rock" for bass clarinet and band was premiered in 2014. In 2005, he appeared as a recitalist and panelist at the first World Bass Clarinet Convention in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He has soloed on bass clarinet and basset horn with the U.S. Coast Guard Band, and on clarinet with the Waterbury and Meriden Symphony Orchestras. As a chamber musician, he performed at International Clarinet Association conferences in Lubbock, New Orleans, Austin, and Lincoln, and at the World Association of Symphonic Bands and Ensembles conference in Chiayi City, Taiwan. Since 1994 Grenci holds the bass clarinet chair in the U.S. Coast Guard Band. In addition, he is often heard in the clarinet sections of the New Haven Symphony Orchestra, Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra, and other Connecticut ensembles.

Has latest album, "The Grenci Stole Christmas!", is a lighthearted collection of holiday classics. Each track features a brand new adaptation of a well known carol. Some bring a rock and roll feel, others a contemporary classical style, and still others are presented in a more traditional classical treatment. While the bass clarinet is always the prominent voice, Andrew's very talented wife, Cheryl Six, is featured on all but one of the tracks will her lovely flute and piccolo playing.
