ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
In Indianapolis, we drive. We are driven. We must pick up the pieces after the storm.

"Indianapolis" is the debut album from Andrew Moore, composer and percussionist from the same city. Not quite film score music, not quite rock, the Avant-Garde album delves into the realms of prog. rock, Gregorian chant, Native American music, Minimalistic music, indie rock, marching band drumline, and the musical expression, complexity, and freedom of an orchestral chamber ensemble, and it blends them together in an action-packed musical odyssey.

Literally twice the length of nearly all modern pop albums, "Indianapolis" features combo instrumentation (guitars, bass, keys, drums) and the Caribbean steel drum, the chromatic harmonica, and electronic synthesized sounds to blend together several musical genres into a cohesive, over-arching sound reminiscent a Hans Zimmer film score.

Each song tell a new chapter of the story, some instrumentally and some with lyrics. Prepare for some of the most complex music ever composed for a rock band, yet it is not impeded by the complexity. It is music for musicians and for fans of rock, particularly bands like Rush, Mr. Bungle, Genesis, and Blue Man Group.

There is no novelty about this steel drum music. Prepare for a musical odyssey unlike any other!
