Album Notes
This song began several years ago as a meditation on Jesus' words in Luke 22:15. As he was celebrating the Passover with his disciples, he forever changed that ritual into something new. He told his friends, “I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer." Then he proceeded to break the bread and pour out the wine as the grace-drenched signs of a new covenant that he was about to initiate with his death.

I was struck by those words- Jesus really wanted us to celebrate this meal with him. It's something beautiful and mysterious and gloriously satisfying. Jesus wanted to eat with his friends that night, and he wants to continually eat this meal with him, as the Church, and into the new heavens and new earth. I wanted to capture a glimpse of that with this song.

I had the opportunity to track this with some talented friends of mine. Their names are listed below. I produced, engineered, mixed, this song myself. Kevin Nix at LNix Mastering mastered it.

Andrew Nordine- vocals, acoustic guitar, organ
Phillip Thompson- slide guitar
Charles Thompson- drums
Dave May- bass
Tristan Barton- electric guitars
Lance Cook- piano
