Album Notes
I recorded Stratojee with friends back in 1990 in Los Angeles. I was influenced by African music when writing it, and I played my favorite electric guitar, the stratocaster. It was never released - a horrible unethical record label (back then, they were the only way to get your music out there) was slated to release it, and abandoned us at the end, to my everlasting gratitude. Now, many years later, I'm releasing selections of this recording as an archive from my past. Since they are from an earlier time, the sound is not current, but I did my best using modern tools to make it sound good!

Thanks to Dirk Freymuth and Matthew Steer for their contribution to the song, and their great energy and groove.

Instrumentation for Stratojee:
Andrew York - electric guitars, strumstick, bass
Dirk Freymuth - acoustic guitars
Matthew Steer - percussion
